New World Record Set for World’s Fastest Production Car

On October 10, 2020, in the desert not far from Las Vegas, the SSC Tuatara became the world’s fastest production car. The test witnessed by officials from the Guinness Book of World Records became the world’s fastest production car when it went 316.11 miles per hour. The vehicle went 301.07 for a mile going in one direction. Then, it turned around and went 331.15 miles per hour, going in the opposite direction. The quick driving by professional driver Oliver Webb was also captured by 15 satellites.

Web says that the car gained 20 miles per hour in the last five seconds, so he is sure that the car could go even faster over a longer course.
