On October 17th or 18th, depending on location and timezone, Jupiter, the planet of abundance, prosperity, and expansion finally move direct again in the sign of Aquarius. Now is an excellent time to step forward into our personal and collective abundance. Since June 20, 2021, Jupiter, also known as the Great Benefic, has embarked on a retrograde journey first through the watery depths of Pisces and then through the airy sign of Aquarius. We’ve gotten a taste of what Jupiter will bring us when it finally heads into the sign of Pisces at the end of 2021 as well as the continued benefits of harnessing the positive aspects of Aquarian energy. Now that Jupiter is moving forward again, we can really see the big picture for what it is and appreciate all the windfalls, abundant glory, and fortune present in our lives.
Learning from Jupiter Retrograde
The word retrograde is often related to fear and worry for some because of the idea of energy moving backward (thank’s Mercury retrograde). However, retrogrades aren’t all that bad at all. In fact, most individuals are born with at least one natal planetary position in retrograde motion and some lucky ones have several planets retrograde making them “retrograded people.” Retrograde energy simply makes the expression of planetary energy an internal experience. With the case of Jupiter, the expansion, abundance, and prosperity that is often associated with this planet are turned inwards. Likewise, the less than pleasant energies of being over-indulgent, hypocritical, intellectually haughty, and at times unwilling to commit are also turned inward. In the sign of Pisces, Jupiter retrograde had us considering our connection to the Divine and all things spiritual. Instead of seeking spiritual guidance outside of ourselves, Jupiter retrograde pulled us inward to connect to ourselves and form our own personal connection to Source energy. Similarly, Jupiter retrograde through the sign of Pisces amplified some of the less pleasant experiences of Neptunian energy such as illusion, delusion, sabotage, and evasiveness for us to consider on a personal level.
In the sign of Aquarius, Jupiter retrograde brings our attention to our own uniqueness and whether or not we are willing to own this for ourselves. Similarly, can we embrace our uniqueness while making space to honor this in other people? Aquarius energy is oriented towards humanity and the equality that allows us all to be different but connected through our common humanity. However, there is also the side of Aquarius that is simply contrarian and rebellious for the sake of it. The rebel without a cause. Jupiter retrograde in Aquarius provided the space to consider how we do Aquarius energy internally.
Jupiter Moves Forward
So, now that Jupiter is moving forward, how can we embrace the abundance and prosperity of Jupiter in Aquarius energy for ourselves. Personally, the house placement of Aquarius in the natal chart gives us an idea of where will are experiencing Jupiter’s bounty. Here is a quick overview of how Jupiter’s forward transit through the natal houses in the sign of Aquarius is experienced.
1st house-Lots of abundance of the self…if you can embrace your own uniqueness.
2nd house-More money, a sense of self-value….based on your own uniqueness
3rd house-Social adeptness, embracing unique and effective communication
4th house-Home is what you make it in your own way…even if it appears to be a bit unusual to others
5th house-Romances that offer a bit of the unusual and unexpected can be prosperous; creative energies are at their best embracing the unique
6th house-Instituting practical yet different everyday routines that offer ways to create order in our lives
7th house-Relationships that have an element of the unusual, different, unexpected, and freedom are advantageous
8th house-Possible unexpected windfalls from intimate partners, death (wills), inheritances, and other sources of income; amazing energy for deep transformation
9th house-Benefits come through foreign places and people, long-distance travel, and higher education.
10th house-Taking a unique approach to a career is likely to bring success; Aquarius/Uranus energy associated with the 10th house is great for self-employment.
11th house-Jupiter’s abundant energy shines a light on hopes, wishes, and aspirations with a twist of the unusual. This energy also encourages good connections with people and groups that hold Uranus energy.
12th house-Embarking on a spiritual journey in your own unique way offers greater abundance and connection to the Divine.
Getting Your Bounty & Prosperity
Jupiter moving forward in Aquarius is the green light that we need to take the last couple of months of introspection and make it an external reality. The combination of Jupiter and Uranus energy provides us the ability to expand beyond our existing spaces by embodying the uniqueness of ourselves. Aquarius finds success in being itself while also honoring the ability for others to do the same. Jupiter in Aquarius has tons of prosperity and benefits awaiting us if we are willing to take that different path and march to the beat of our own drum.
Just Don’t Over Do It
As with all energy, there are some precautions…even with bountiful Jupiter. Jupiter is expansive energy, so it enhances whatever sign/and or planet that it touched for better or worse. Just as Jupiter in Aquarius can bring us the freedom of being ourselves, greater connections to mankind, widespread innovation, and huge advances in technology, this same energy also embodies rebellion and anarchy. Jupiter in Aquarius prompts us to do our own thing…but sometimes we can take it too far rebelling for the sake of it. Being contrary just to prove that we can lead us to be the rebel without a cause. It is also important to remember that Uranus energy at its rawest is unbridled chaos. Even with Jupiter, the planet of abundance and prosperity, there is the lesson that too much of a good thing can turn into a not-so-good thing.
