Use Some of Your Time to Brighten Another’s Day:
If you are having a hard time while in isolation, there is a chance that someone else in your life is, too. Find a way to brighten the day of someone you care about. If you can, have flowers or food delivered to that person. Make an online order of some kind to be delivered to the home of that person. Send a handwritten card to that person, just letting them know that you are thinking of them. When you focus on brightening the day of someone else, you will find that you think about your own darkness a little less.
Get Out in the Sun:
If the sun is shining and you have an area where you can go outside and still be alone, get outside. Sit in the sun, letting it warm your body. Allow the sun to help you feel hopeful, and simply breathe while it shines on you. When inside, open the blinds and curtains in your home and appreciate each change in weather.
Practice Your Cooking Skills:
If you have never been someone who was very good at cooking, you have the chance to better your skills now. While you are in isolation and spending a lot of time making your own meals, branch out and try to cook things that you have not cooked before. Read Positive Books:
If you are going to spend any time reading while you are in isolation, you want to make sure that the books that you are reading are not going to bring you down. Just as you want to read positive books, you want to make sure that the music that you are using to get through isolation is music that will leave you feeling hopeful. Listen to anthems that make you feel confident that everything will be better one day. Listen to artists who always shine a positive light on things. Again, download a music app and ind your favorite song and dance the night away!
