Early Signs are Showing 2021 Could be a La Niña Year

The La Niña climate event occurs every so often and it typically results in some severe weather earlier in the year. Some of the early indications are starting to show that 2021 could be a La Niña year and that could have some interesting effects on the country.

This climate event regularly occurs in the Pacific Ocean every couple of years. This is a fairly normal weather pattern that rivals the opposite El Niño climate event. The process starts out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and typically decreases the temperature of the ocean water at the equator. This process will usually force all of the warmer water to escape to make room for the significantly colder water. The warmer water usually moves towards countries like Indonesia and sometimes even Australia.
