It’s officially the end of Pisces season, and before we can start anew with the energy of Aries at the spring equinox, it is necessary to implement the most important lessons of Pisces: the art of surrender and forgiveness. As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces is aware that to move on to the experience of being reborn, you have to surrender everything that made you who you are.
While surrender may seem easy, it isn’t. The ego is so caught up in being who and what it is that it can be very difficult to release the identities that keep us from the rebirth that allows for newness. So, to help you embrace the newness that comes with spring and the sign of Aries, let’s wrap up the Pisces experience, and learn more about what it takes to officially let go, and surrender so that we can move on.
Whenever we are in a state of holding onto something it makes it quite difficult for us to move on. Pisces is the last sign for a reason. Pisces has experienced all the previous zodiac signs as well as the experience of being itself. At some point, there really isn’t much left to do except move on. This holding on to something that is already over can make it quite difficult for us to experience the Oneness and unity that we desire.
A great way to understand how holding on can hold you back is the death process. No matter who we are or where we come from, death is a sure thing for all of us. What makes the death process a bit easier or harder for some is their ability to finally accept the transition process. Nevertheless, when death is upon us, we are forced to let go even if we don’t want to. All the things that made us who we are in the physical realm, are released under the energy of Pisces and transition.
At this time, some of us are experiencing a death of sorts, perhaps not in a physical way, but in a way that requires us to leave behind what can no longer come with us at the rebirth at the spring equinox. It is important for us to consider your transition at this time so that we are able to release that we can be reborn under the warmth and new possibilities of spring.
Forgiving Others Is Hard But Necessary
There’s a reason the Pisces energy rules forgiveness given the karmic nature of this sign, it can be difficult to have a rebirth that’s filled with newness when we hold onto the past. This is particularly true when holding grudges against others. Forgiving others can be quite difficult, especially if they’d done something to us that we would consider unforgivable or egregious. However, in order to be able to free ourselves of the weighted energy of the past, we must be willing to reconcile and forgive.
Even if other people don’t want to acknowledge what they’ve done, forgiveness is not just about the other person. Forgiveness has a lot to do with reconciliation for yourself. By forgiving others, we give ourselves a chance to finally move on from harboring resentments and other low-vibrating energies. It is also important to note that forgiveness of ourselves is also necessary because when you don’t forgive yourself and others you tend to repeat cycles that delay the rebirth.
Surrender & Forgiveness Is Not Weak
One of the major issues people have with surrender and forgiveness is the ego. The ego gets you caught up in wanting to prove yourself instead of letting go. It is for this reason that Pisces, Neptune, and the 12th house all represent ego dissolution. When you are no longer caught up in your ego you are able to release that which is no longer truly part of who you are. The desire to compete is no longer necessary. The desire to prove oneself is void. There is an understanding that surrender and forgiveness do not make you weak. Surrender and forgiveness are not seen as faults. Instead, forgiveness allows you to set down your burdens. Surrender allows you to know when something is done so that you are able to finally wrap things up and move on or transition to a new experience.
You Can’t Take It With You
Referencing back to the death process, Pisces energy is correlated to giving up the physical body which allows the soul to return to Source. One of the things about being born again is the idea that we get a clean slate. However, before you can have the clean slate that is represented by the spring equinox and the energy of Aries, you have to do the work of wrapping up that comes with Pisces. There’s a reason why Pisces isn’t an incredibly materialistic sign. While they may enjoy physical things, there is the understanding that everything physical is also temporal. The truth of the matter is we can’t take any of this experience with us when we transition from this physical realm. So, holding on to past hurts, past pains, materialistic things, etc. makes no sense. In order to be reborn everything that is so associated with the physical has to be released because you can’t take it with you.
In terms of being reborn without going through the death process, if you’re really looking to start a new life everything that was associated with past energies also has to go. Everything from starting a new relationship to a new job, all those old energies that may keep us stuck in old patterns of thinking and behaviors, must be released so that we can have the physical, non-death rebirth that allows us to live a new life. Being reborn requires knowing that you can’t take over things with you, so it’s vital for us to get the importance of letting go to move on offered through the Pisces experience.
Embrace the energy of surrender and forgiveness as one of the major lessons of Pisces so that we can unburden ourselves and fully embrace the energies of being reborn at the spring equinox.
