This movie is about a girl (Ming-Na Wen) and her friend who go to New York City to get rid of a mighty corporation named Mirando. The corporation has been damaging the environment and spreading all over South Korea.
The corporation wants to use Okja (played by Ahn Seo Hyun), a super pig, to experiment with the production of “super pig” food for the people of South Korea. The girl who wants to save Okja does everything she can to keep her. In addition, she’s not afraid to show the darker side of humanity.
A Monster Calls (2016)
This fantasy drama movie stars Sigourney Weaver and Felicity Jones. The director, J.A. Bayona, loosely bases it on an award-winning novel of the same name. The movie has an eerie, beautiful atmosphere and focuses more on the characters than the story itself, making it all the more impactful.
It’s sad, but it’s not all doom and gloom. It involves a young boy called Conor who struggles with his mother’s illness. His mother comes up with a fairy-tale-like monster that comes at nighttime to tell him stories but can only ask one question in return.

This film focuses on the life of Abbie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and Sam (Michiel Huisman) and what they’ve been through over the years. All the while, they’ve been in love following a tragic event. Their journey is brought to life through the eyes of the director, Stephanie Laing. Abbie and Sam still love each other even when one of them is sick and nearing the end.

If you’re looking for a movie about an addict making his way to come clean for his family, this is a pretty good one. It entails a dad, Holly Burns, trying to help his son Ben deal with addiction issues. It brings out the complicated journey people must go through to take their lives back from addiction.
Purple Hearts
Purple Hearts’ director is Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum. The film focuses on the romance between British national Cassie Kriss and Marine Luke. Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine are its main actors.
The story starts with the scene of a marine embracing his family after returning home on holiday leave. The film then shifts to the present, in a cafe where Luke is going on a date with Cassie, a singer/songwriter. The date turns out not to be so romantic due to Cassie’s rude behavior, and it seems that Luke doesn’t want to continue this relationship any longer.
