If we’re going to do a list of iconic Grammy performances of all time, then we should absolutely start with one of the most iconic performers of a generation (and a performer that is up there with the most trophies ever received). At the 52nd annual Grammy Awards ceremony, Beyonce took the stage and sang her single “If I Were a Boy” in an effortless blend of vocals and raw emotion. The stripped-down performance put the focus on Beyonce’s masterful voice and saw her hitting high notes that many other singers could only dream of. From the moment she marched onto stage with an army in full riot gear, it was a truly breathtaking performance proving once again why Bey is one of the industry’s all-time greats.

Eminem & Elton John – “Stan”

At the 43rd Grammy Awards ceremony, we experienced an eyebrow-raising pairing that we weren’t quite sure would be a hit, but that all changed when Eminem and Elton John took the stage. Despite the differences in their music styles and fan bases, this unlikely duo delivered an epic performance of Eminem’s chart-topping rap song “Stan.” The Eminem and Elton combo was a statement on how far hip-hop had come in terms of mainstream acceptance and recognition within the music industry. What’s absolutely amazing about the Grammys is that you never know when a certain collection of legends will take the stage and perform together. In 2003, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Dave Grohl and Little Steven performed The Clash’s punk anthem “London Calling” in one of the most iconic performances of all time. This special one-night-only collaboration was an electrifying spectacle that kept the audience on their feet with thrill-filled cheers.

Lady Gaga – “Born This Way”

If there’s one artist who knows how to put on a show, it’s Lady Gaga.
