God can Speak to Us Through Music

God’s people need to realize they have a claim on music. Music is God’s way of sending happiness, and when you believe in God, you have the mindset for enjoying music satisfying to mind, heart, and soul.

The world uses music to find meaning, expression, pleasure, and distractions. The Bible reveals a deeper purpose of music when Christ’s disciples sing. Read Psalm 66:16.

Make Scriptures Your Phone Wallpaper

Everyone has a cellphone, and every cellphone has wallpaper. One young 16-year-old young man lists his favorite scripture on his wallpaper and sees it every day. When asked why he has this as his wallpaper, he says that it reminds him not to be unkind, not to say biting things, and to do his best.

Surround Yourself With People Who Love God’s Word

Never be prejudice and mean to others who do not feel and think like you do, but sometimes you need good friends and people around you who love God’s word. Read Hebrews 3:13 that prompts you to be positive and talk to people about spirituality and God. Be content and happy with your companions.

If you have no friends who are spiritually tuned into God, find them. Ask God to lead you to someone who can uplift you. In these days of darkness and uncertainty, the best way to feel happy is to fill your life with Jesus.

Meditate

It is not easy to think of God’s word all day. It is difficult to keep thoughts of Him in your mind as you go about your daily activities. However, if you are feeling down and out and need something positive, meditate. Think about the good things in your life and who gave them to you – God. It’s amazing what “counting your blessings” can do to bring happiness.

Listen to the Still Small Voice

Recently a family was having a reunion in a mountain cabin. The snow was coming, but no one wanted to leave. They had planned for this reunion for months and looked forward to a night of talking a laughing. Yet, the sky was dark and dreary, and the air was filled with menace.

Suddenly the lights in the cabin lights went out, the furnace stopped, and the only heat was coming through an inefficient wood fireplace.

The family knelt to pray, and quickly the answer came. The family packed up their belongings, including trailers filled with ATVs, and headed down the mountain. The trip down the mountain was filled with rain and sleet. Later, when we arrived at the homes in the valley homes, the family learned there was still no power on the mountain, and there was a blizzard. Listening to the still small voices convinced the family of the right answer. God provided the answer, and happily, all were safe.

A Prayer for Safety and Happiness

Dear Heavenly Father, we humbly ask in the name of our Lord Jesus to help us know the right way to go. Please help us to be happy in our hearts for the answers you will provide.

We love the mountains and our cabin lodging and have been waiting for many months to be here. However, the weather is against us, and now we have no way to keep our families warm through the night. We know how we should go and ask a blessing on us that we will make the right decision.

We will follow thy direction since we know it leads to safety. We thank thee for everything thou has provided us; we love thee and know thou lovest us.

This is our prayer in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
