A New Perspective: Open Your Mind for Renewed Hope

2 Mins read

Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you

Thoughts for Today

In order to view things from a different perspective, it’s important to be open to new ideas. In fact, as long as these ideas you’re considering are true, honest, pure, just, lovely or of good report, the outcome will be new and positive.

Think on these things with praise and virtue in your heart, and improve your life. Further, by seeing things in a different way, you’ll have learned something truly valuable. You’ll find the peace of mind you might have never knew you craved.

Consider This

Seeing things from a different perspective can help you understand people and the world better. When this happens, your heart will grow in compassion for those you might have never understood before. This is because you have the chance to see the world through their eyes.

After all, everyone has their own unique point of view, and this is worth being more understanding of. At first, seeing the world through another lens may be a challenge. Additionally, by seeing life through your family’s or friend’s eyes, you can understand their feelings more clearly. With this in mind, you can achieve a higher level of empathy for your loved ones.

Although others may be strangers, they’re still your brothers and sisters in Heaven and should be considered as well.

Have a renewed hope for the future of your relationships with those you love, because your new perspective may allow you to be closer to them.

Imagine caring more about a homeless person you might encounter outside of a local grocery store or a stray cat that needs food, shelter and unconditional love. You have the opportunity to gain meaning and a sense of purpose from your change in perspective.

Therefore, be brave enough to open your mind, heart and spirit to new ideas. There’s a genuine beauty in the way others think. Allow yourself to gain a new inner depth. This can be a gift from God if you let Him come into your heart.

At first, seeing the world through another lens may be a challenge. Have courage and faith in God, so you can be strong enough to face your fears. Other peoples’ perspectives should be respected and analyzed to a healthy extent.

Have a positive mindset in all things, yet it’s also smart to be honest with yourself about any ideas which come to mind. This way, you only allow the truth into your life, and you may never be fooled by false ideas.

Prayer

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul,
‘therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:21-24
